happy list

a collection
of the little things that have made my week

guilty pleasure
 photo happy-luckycharms_zps9abac98e.jpg
because sometimes
there is just no resisting their magical deliciousness
fabric

and the purr of my sewing machine
inspired
and it feels so good…
while sitting on the back steps
late one afternoon
my hearty succulents

finally got re-potted
this moment

snapped by my husband-
long after i’d fallen asleep
cuddled up to the sweet smell
of my favorite girl
and

let’s be honest- it was a looong, dark winter
with looong, dark roots
which really-
was no good for anyone.
so, with a quick trip to NYC

the blond is back
and
spring

has me feeling
a little more
like

me
again.

ferns and fashion

last month
on a very grey, chilly morning
i went on a fieldtrip
oooooh goodness…
have you been?
what a perfect outing for a mid-winter day!
literally, you feel like you’ve walked into a tropical paradise.
heavenly.
Photobucket
we happened to be there during NY fashion week
with the latest styles and trends overwhelming my reader each day
so i couldn’t help but find fashion in my inspiration behind the lens

the rhode island flower show opened last night
with a food and wine tasting featuring bites from little rhody’s best resturants
Photobucket
getting a preview peek of the glorious gardens
was a special way to spend a late-winter evening
(thank you, thank you janet + warren!)

cherry blossoms…
Photobucket
aren’t they just the most cheery and hopeful?!
this simple chicken coop seems the perfect size for a city chick
now has my wheels turning…
Photobucket
a green roof!
Photobucket
i l.o.v.e succulents and think green roofs are just the coolest thing.
i think this may have inspired my father-in-law to adjust his garden shed plans!
(we bough one of his sea-scapes for our family christmas swap)
Photobucket
put together this cheery path
of canvas “bricks”
this vignette
with a dijon door
and perfectly dense shrubs
Photobucket
had me making mental notes
for a some much-needed landscaping love
at our place
oh, and can you hear
the snow melting?!
Photobucket
oooh, golly!
i am SO looking forward to spring
and those dewy morning walks in the woods…
